1,000 crane challenge
There was a story about a young lady named Sadako Sasaki.
A Origami/Chiyogami Expert who once attempted to fold 1,000 paper cranes, sadly she passed away with an attempt of 644. Her beloved friends completed the 1,000 and buried them all with her. In ancient history, folding 1,000 cranes grant you 1 wish, a sign of good fortune. This is the story of Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes.
There are 21 individual folds in a Japanese paper crane. Our collection of hand made Origami are actually finger nail folds due to the advanced miniature size they are made in. Our aim is to fulfill the same legacy of Sadoko Sasaki with the fold of 1,000 paper cranes. The co founder of Sendabottle held an unforgettable wedding event in which 400 paper cranes were made. We will always be counting and regularly update this short story along with our journey to 1000 paper cranes.
